Mental Health Crisis Response Services

Mental Health Crisis Response provides crisis services 24/7 to Carver County. The Crisis Team includes trained crisis counselors and peer specialists. Interventions and/or consultation are provided by phone, telehealth, or in-person in appropriate settings in the community.

Services include:

Mobile crisis response
Stabilization services
Follow-up and support calls

Telephone Response 24/7

Immediate and direct access to a member of the Carver County Crisis Program.
Assessment and intervention of the current crisis situation.
Assessment of the level of risk to self or others; triage for a mobile response if appropriate.
Telephone consultation to professionals or community members.
Information and referrals.
Crisis Team coordinates with the Carver County 911 dispatch Center (PSAP) in order to intervene with calls that may need a mental health co-response.

Mobile Crisis Response in Community

Mobile crisis response is provided in a community location that is safe and appropriate.
Mental health brief diagnostic assessment and brief crisis-focused counseling, intervention, and de-escalation.
Initial crisis treatment plan and referrals to outpatient services as needed.
Access to Rapid Access Psychiatry (RAP) appointments and/or Urgent psychotherapy (RATT) appointments if appropriate and available.
Coordination of immediate disposition as indicated, including residential stabilization facilities, sub-acute treatment, and referral to inpatient psychiatric care assessment.

Mobile Stabilization Services

Crisis mental health stabilization services are short-term, voluntary, individualized mental health services provided to clients with the goal of restoring the client to their prior level of functioning.
The client’s individual needs and goals are identified, and a plan is developed to meet these goals. Stabilization services include short-term individual and family counseling, which may include psychoeducation, coping, brief risk assessment, skills training, communication, conflict resolution skills, and relapse prevention.
Stabilization services involve consultation with current care provider(s), assistance with coordinating insurance and basic needs, and appropriate therapeutic services.
Assist clients in meeting basic needs and linking to community resources.
