Yes, a sliding fee application is available for Carver County residents. Carver County residents who have commercial insurance and families who may live outside of Carver County but whose children are enrolled in a Carver County School District are also included. The sliding fee is based on your gross household income and total dependents. Proof of income (at least one month’s worth of paystubs or federal tax return showing your gross household income can be provided). The sliding fee will be valid for one year; the client is responsible for reaching out to reapply if interested.

Yes, we do. If interested, we can either email you or mail you the form. A credit card will be needed for this. Payments will be processed on the 15th of every month with the amount you indicate on the form. You will be emailed a receipt once the payment has been made.

Statements are mailed monthly. Your statement may be stamped Account In Collections. This happens after four statements have been mailed to you. Even if you are making monthly payments, your statement still may be stamped Account In Collections. However, as long as you make some type of monthly payment, your account will remain with us and not go to Revenue Recapture.

If we have not received any payments from you for over 5 months, a letter will be sent to you notifying you that your account will be sent to Revenue Recapture. If you have any tax refunds coming from the State of Minnesota, those funds will be sent to us to cover your debt.

Yes, the billing department emails clients when we have insurance issues or when forms need to be updated. Clients are welcome to email FSCAcounting@carvercountymn.gov regarding any insurance updates or questions that they may have.
