Payment Options
Carver County Behavioral Health and Housing works closely with patients, their families, insurance companies, and managed care providers to determine all possible payment options. We accept and work with most major insurance companies and managed care plans. Please call your insurance company for specific mental health plan details regarding coverage, deductible amounts, and coinsurance. Other billing questions may be answered by contacting our accounting team at (952) 442-4437.
Verify Benefits
It is ultimately the insurance member’s responsibility to verify insurance benefits.
It is wise to contact your insurance company before making an appointment to determine if the service is covered and by how much. The correct phone number is located on the back of your insurance card. We cannot determine or explain your benefits.
In-Network vs. Out-of-Network Benefits
To help you save money, most health plans provide access to a network of doctors, facilities, and pharmacies. These doctors and facilities must meet certain requirements and agree to accept a discounted rate for covered services under the health plan to be part of the network. These healthcare providers are considered in-network. If a doctor or facility has no contract with your health plan, they’re considered out-of-network and can charge you a higher price. It’s usually higher than the in-network discounted rate.
