The Anicca Adolescent Day Treatment Program provides intensive group therapy and academic classes for long term (6-9 months) all-day programming for youth in grades 7-12.
Anicca [uh-knee-kuh] represents change and impermanence, serving as a reminder that change is possible.
Our Goal
Our goal is to provide a supportive, caring community where youth struggling with mental health issues can learn ways to reduce and manage symptoms, increase their functioning in all areas of their life, and move forward towards achieving life goals.
Our Services
What to Expect
- Inclusive and trauma-informed services.
- Services provided in a safe, structured setting by qualified licensed mental health professionals.
- An interactive therapeutic environment.
- Diagnostic assessment and individualized treatment plan completed upon admission.
- Three therapy groups each day: psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and skills group.
- Individual and family therapy.
- Coordination of care with other providers.
- Daily academic instruction from licensed teachers.
- Transition planning that includes both therapeutic and academic needs and goals.
Admission Criteria
- Youth in need of increased level of care from current outpatient therapy or decrease in level of care following residential, hospital, or partial hospital programming.
- Struggling with issues related to:
- Anxious/depressive symptoms interfering with functioning.
- Emotional regulation.
- Self-harming behaviors and/or suicidal ideation.
- School attendance and/or work completion difficulties.
- Identity development.
- Maintaining healthy relationships.
- Attention related difficulties.
- Mental health hospitalizations.
- Has the capacity to engage in and benefit from insight oriented therapy.
- Demonstrates the ability to refrain from physically aggressive behaviors.
- Parent/guardian is willing to participate in the therapeutic process.
