Bike Konnect

Family Bike Ride from Victoria to Firemen's Park in Chaska

Bike Konnect is a refreshing summer event and you are invited! Round up your friends and family for the 4th Annual Bike Konnect Event on Saturday, June 17 from 9:00 a.m. – Noon. The Cities of Chaska and Victoria Parks & Recreation Departments and the Carver County Parks Department are working collaboratively to connect families, connect trails and connect communities through this family bike ride and summer kick-off event.

On the third Saturday of June annually, families of all ages and abilities attend this family fun ride starting in Victoria at the Southwest Regional Trailhead (located near the Charlson Thun Community Bandstand) and ending at Chaska’s Fireman’s Park (located next to the Curling Center downtown). Participants will enjoy a leisurely ride while traveling along 10 miles of Regional and City trail systems which connect the two communities. There will be convenient rest areas in local City Parks along the way. This event is not a race.

Once riders have arrived at Firemen’s Park, they will enjoy a fun summer picnic atmosphere including activities such as a splash pad, log rolling, bounce house, and archery! You’ll have a chance to win a post-ride prize sponsored by Michael’s Cycles in Chaska. Light post-ride snacks will be provided. Concession sales will be available for those who would like a full lunch.

There is a registration fee of $5 per rider. You may add a t-shirt purchase to your registration for $10/shirt through June 1st.  After the June 1st deadline, registration fees remain the same but t-shirts will not be available for purchase. Children five years old and younger ride free! Registration includes riding the course, access to all finish line activities, and transportation (if needed) from the finish line in Chaska back to the start line in Victoria. Helmets will be required, if you need to purchase a helmet, they will be for sale at the check-in booth for $10.

Mark your calendars and register today! Registration is available at: www.chaskacommunitycenter.com or www.ci.victoria.mn.us. Assistance is available 952-448-5633. Bikes and riding gear will not be supplied; participants should come prepared with a bike and helmet. Event coordinators will have restroom locations, first-aid, and water-stop areas along the route. Volunteers are needed for this event, if interested please contact City of Victoria Parks Department, Carver County Parks, or Chaska Parks & Recreation for more information. We hope to see you and your family at this unique summer kick-off event!
