Environmental Academy: Household Hazardous Waste at the Environmental Center

  • Date: 09/24/2026 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM  

Household hazardous waste includes common products that can be harmful to people and the environment if they are not handled and disposed of properly. This session will explore why proper management of household hazardous waste is important and what residents can do to keep these materials out of the trash, drains, and environment.

Participants will learn about the types of household hazardous waste accepted at the Carver County Environmental Center and how these materials are managed after they are dropped off. The session will also include a behind-the-scenes tour of the Environmental Center and an opportunity to learn more about the services available to Carver County residents.

Who Can Participate?

  • Anyone who lives or works in Carver County
  • Participants under 18 if accompanied by a parent or guardian
  • Registration is required
