Family Bows & Balance

Family Bows & Balance – July 9th

Bring your family out for an adventurous new recreational duo—archery and slacklining!  Slacklining is an exciting balancing activity that is great for improving core strength and will help you develop the control and balance needed to hunt undetected.  Participants will spot one another for stability as they practice walking across a narrow line of webbing set low to the ground.  After slacklining, we will shoot archery with our feet firmly on the ground.  Participants will learn range safety and proper techniques for stance, aim, and release to become consistent archers. This program is designed for families that have little or no previous archery experience.  All equipment is provided.  Participants should come prepared for the weather conditions.  This program will be held outdoors at Lake Waconia Regional Park and is a partnership between the Carver County Parks Department and the City of Waconia Parks Department.
