Carver County Environmental Services and local non-profit A Better Society are teaming up to bring more Fix-it Clinics to Carver County.
At these free events, volunteers help attendees fix items that may otherwise end up being disposed of. These items include vacuums, clothing, small engines, bicycles, and a variety of other small household items.
Events like these are a great opportunity not only to get items fixed and kept out of the landfill but also foster community and discussion about waste reduction and the “throw-away” mentality.

At this event residents have the opportunity to sit down with a volunteer fixer to talk about their item and work together toward a repair. If an item cannot not be fixed, volunteers will try their best to diagnose the problem and provide the resident with part numbers, other repair options or recycling and disposal alternatives.

If you have questions or would like assistance with sign up send us a message or contact Environmental Services at (952) 361-1800 or with any questions.

For more information visit the link below. Registration is required and will open closer to the date of the event.
