Comprehensive assessments, or chemical health assessments, are provided by a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. This includes assistance with referral to SUD treatment programs and resources. Medical Assistance, Prepaid Medical Assistance Programs (PMAPS) available to Carver County residents, and the Behavioral Health Fund and potential funding sources in addition to a self-pay option. SUD Behavioral Health Fund Eligibility Determination and Application via Direct Access
Uninsured residents, or those with private medical insurance who meet certain financial criteria, can apply for the Behavioral Health Fund.

The Department of Human Services reviews and processes the applications within 5 business days. If approved, a 60-day eligibility span will be initiated for substance use disorder services.
