Originating in Scandinavia, Nordic Walking is simply walking with two poles, like for skiing. It's low impact, fun to do, and easy to learn. It's an ideal form of exercise for anyone of any age, especially for those who have balance, knee, or leg problems. It exercises 80% of your muscles and improves your overall heart, mind, and body health. Get started with this great outdoor activity as Carver County Park staff teach you how to use the poles, a proper walking technique, and pole-walking locations you can explore.
All pole equipment will be provided for class participants' use. Each class will meet in a different Chanhassen park. Transportation is not provided to and from the parks for this class.
